“Closeness” app: measuring thermoregulation in romantic couples

multiple_temperaturesCloseness measures skin temperatures, movement, closeness and touch in romantic couples continuously, 24 hours a day.

We expect this app to deepen our understanding of how romantic couples co-regulate and co-dysregulate each other through a bidirectional linkage of oscillating emotional channels (subjective experience, expressive behavior, and autonomic physiology, particularly skin temperatures).

The app can be added to any Android phone. It runs silently in the background, gathers data, and sends the data securely to our own database server whenever an internet connection is available.

The app’s source code will probably be made available under an Open Source license on GitHub in the very near future.
